was established 50 years ago to support the Fire Department through fundraisers to assist in purchasing fire and ems equipment to take the burden off the tax payers and make donations to local charities. South Zanesville Volunteer Fire Department was formed in 1924 and is one of the oldest fire departments in Muskingum County. 24 E. The department strives to be one of the most progressive fire departments in Muskingum County and the greater Southeastern Ohio region.
