EXTREMELY HIGH WATER USAGE!

==========

THIS ISSUE HAS NOT BEEN RESOLVED AND HAS GOTTEN SIGNIFICANTLY WORSE IN THE LAST FEW HOURS!

==========

Our water usage has more than tripled in the last few hours, and the current level of demand is not sustainable for our system.

This strongly indicates that one or more significant leaks are still active.

Based on conditions and usage patterns, it is most likely that multiple outside hose bibs/spigots have frozen, split, and are now continuously discharging water into yards or surrounding areas.

PLEASE CHECK INSIDE AND OUTSIDE OF YOUR HOME IMMEDIATELY FOR FROZEN PIPES, LEAKS, OR RUNNING WATER.

==========

If you are not currently home, please arrange for someone to check your property as soon as possible.

After checking, please email or text us your service address and property status.

Also, if you know of any water flowing up onto the street from below ground, or have noticed unusual puddling, please let us know.

Please contact us with any information you have regarding this situation so we may address any issues as soon as possible.

Thank you!

* * EXCESSIVE WATER USE * *

The amount of water currently being used is not sustainable for our system.

Please help us by checking to see if there

may be a problem within or around your home.

This spike is most likely caused by an outside spigot or hose that has frozen and split!

==========

A spike in water usage is commonly caused by:

• A leaking / continuously running toilet

• An unattended hose

• An internal plumbing problem, broken pipe or leaky faucet.

Also, if you know of any water flowing up onto the street from below ground, or have noticed unusual puddling, please let us know.

Please contact us with any information you have regarding this situation so we may address any issues as soon as possible.

Thank you!

NOTICE REGARDING MISUSE OF WATER AND SERVICE DISCONNECTION

Dear Customer,

This notice serves as a reminder of the terms and conditions outlined in the current tariff for Twin Lakes Water Company, Inc., as approved by the New York State Public Service Commission (PSC), effective June 1, 2021.

In accordance with the tariff, all customers are expected to use water responsibly and in compliance with company policies. We want to emphasize that misuse of water—particularly during periods of hot/dry weather or increased system demand—may result in disconnection of service.

Examples of water misuse include, but are not limited to:

• Watering lawns using automatic sprinklers or irrigation systems

• Filling or topping off swimming pools or hot tubs

• Use of water for decorative fountains or other non-essential purposes

Only the use of a handheld hose with an automatic shutoff nozzle is permitted for outdoor watering.

As a regulated utility, Twin Lakes Water Company reserves the right under PSC guidelines to restrict usage during water scarcity and to disconnect service in the event of continued or willful noncompliance. We encourage all customers to conserve water and avoid nonessential usage, especially during the summer season when demand is highest.

Should you have any questions or concerns about this policy or your water service, please contact us through our website at www.TLWCI.com/contact.

We thank you for your cooperation in helping us protect the integrity of the water system and ensure reliable service for all customers.

Sincerely,

Twin Lakes Water Co., Inc.
