The 9th Annual checking_for_charity is tomorrow!

Join us at the Troubh Ice Arena in Portland as we raise money to benefit STRIVE and other local charities!

This is an event for all ages including hockey, concessions, and our silent auction. All of the proceeds go to a great cause. We hope to see you there!

L1476 is extra excited to announce that not only will we be participating in the Mary's Firemen for a Cure on March 7th at Lost Valley, but we now have TWO teams racing for the title!!

All proceeds support the Dempsy Center!

Fire Nuggets, SPFD & Local 1476 will be hosting Justin McWilliams (Search Culture) for a 4 hour lecture on March 19 at 9am at the South Portland Community Center.

South Portland Professional Firefighters Local 1476 responded to a total of 5,742 calls in the calendar year of 2025. Our members take pride in serving our community whenever the bell rings.

Whatever 2026 has in store we will continue to be there when the citizens, visitors, and patrons of the City of South Portland need us.

Please note some calls require multiple apparatus to respond. The second graphic shows a breakdown of the response total for each apparatus throughout 2025.
