**DESCRIPTION
The City of South Pasadena was officially incorporated on March 2, 1888. Centrally located within West San Gabriel Valley in Los Angeles County, California, the City of South Pasadena lies between the City of Pasadena and the metropolis of Los Angeles. It encompasses 3.44 square miles, with a population of approximately 25, 284. The City of South Pasadena prides itself on its small-town character and is known for its tree-lined streets, historic California Craftsman-style homes, unique, small businesses and its outstanding public schools. This small-town atmosphere makes South Pasadena one of California's most desirable locations.
