❤️ A Message From My Heart Before You Read the Facts Below

My campaign has always been about one thing - a better way forward for South Park. New ideas. Honesty. Cutting out the insider network that has controlled decisions behind closed doors for too long.
And because of that, the insiders are scrambling.

Instead of offering solutions or ideas to move our township forward, they’ve chosen smears, lies, and personal attacks - not only against me, but against my family.

Let me be very clear:
I expected resistance when I spoke out about backdoor money deals and closed-door decisions that left residents in the dark. I knew some would try to protect their positions and influence.

But I never imagined they would sink this low:

• Mysterious dark-money mailers, illegally sent to sway voters.
• Current Elected Supervisor trolling Facebook and contacting people commenting on my posts. Then spinning fabricated lies about me. Said that I called him a coward. I never did. I’m sure many have!
• Mysterious websites popping up with official sounding names filled with slanderous lies
• Placing stickers of their website that purportedly contains viruses all over town including 100’s at the Haunted House in our county park.
• Fake Facebook troll accounts with no friends, no history, and stock photos posting lies and attacks.
• Local newspapers and political committees pushing claims they know are false, hoping voters won’t question them.

They are doing this because they can’t control this movement - a grassroots campaign built on transparency, service, and ordinary people who want their township back. They are driven by money and desperate to install people that can control.

That’s obvious! We can’t let it happen!

I have nothing to hide. I have taken every hit publicly because I believe South Park deserves better - and I won’t back down from the truth.

This election process has revealed something we long suspected - these insiders are in cahoots with the real estate folks and the developers.

We need to all come together to fight this if there is any hope of cleaning it up. Most people have seen these slanderous lies from people desperate to protect their financial self-interests, it’s obvious, and so many of you see it. This has to change now. Six more years of this nonsense will forever change our township.

I’ll fight for you, just give me a chance. Everyone needs to vote. Everyone needs to have their voice heard if this will ever change.

And please understand, my family has been forced to endure a lot. As everyone knows, we do everything as a family. Election Day is tough because we’re all split up handling different polling places. We’ll be in our familiar bright red shirts with my logo on the front. Please stop by and offer Tianna, Axton, and Diane some encouragement. I never said a word about it during the primaries, but one of these insiders’ family members got in Axton’s face and said, “Your dad is a bad man, I hope God forgives you for what you’re doing.” No one deserves that for supporting their father and family. No one. What a learning experience it’s been for our kids!

The one thing I know - I will never put my family through this evil network again.

NOW, BECAUSE TRUTH MATTERS, HERE ARE THE FACTS.

Setting the Record Straight: South Park Deserves the Truth

On Friday, a letter, appearing to be paid for by the South Park Republican Committee and written by Sleepy Hollow property owner Joan Carmen, appeared in the Park News. It was overflowing with misinformation, twisted facts, and slander aimed at me, my family, and my record of service.

Let’s call this what it is: a last-ditch effort by people with financial and political interests to mislead voters and silence the truth. They’re counting on fear, confusion, and last-minute lies to win an election they’re losing on ideas and integrity.

I refuse to let that happen.
My family and I have always stood for transparency, accountability, and honest service. That is how we live, and it is how we campaign.

1. The South Park Buffalo - Truth Over Rumor

The Friends of the South Park Buffalo Preserve was created for one purpose - to support, protect, and celebrate the Buffalo herd, never to harm them.

The PADLS reports being used against us have been misrepresented. Not one official report concluded that public feedings caused stillbirths or harmed the herd.
Every feeding event was approved by county leadership, and when necessary, by licensed veterinarians. My family, as volunteers - washed, sorted, and passed produce to county employees, who were the only ones allowed to feed the herd.

When we began, the pastures were in poor condition. We pushed the county to test soil, treat it, and replant grasses. Now the Buffalo graze naturally throughout the day - healthier and more active than they have been in many years.

We helped bring in a veterinarian with extensive bison experience. In coordination with USDA recommendations, the feed program transitioned to high-quality herbivore pellets, the same type used successfully in zoos, with the renewed grass and of course their hay from Round Hill Park. We agreed to return to the basic to create a baseline to allow the vet to work to improve the birth rates. As of today the vet and testing cannot link anything to the birthrate issue if one exists at all. It will take years to determine if genetics is the true cause.

Birth records were incomplete for years, that’s a fact. No one knows the true birthrate numberd until we started tracking them. That’s why we pushed for ear tags, better tracking, and improved veterinary communication. We fought for accountability because we care about these animals, not because we needed attention.

Clarifying the Tranquilizer Issue

Since it continues to be twisted, here are the facts:

At one point, we were offered a donation to purchase tranquilizer equipment. An on-site employee told us the tranquilizer rifles were needed and approved. Acting in good faith, we moved forward. After the equipment arrived, the story suddenly changed.

That was a lesson. From that point forward, we worked only with county directors and decision-makers, no more back-and-forth with employees who could change their positions overnight.

To do this right, we contacted county police leadership in Greentree, followed their requests, and even located trained local marksmen willing to volunteer in emergencies to safely protect the animals and the public. The only barrier left was the legal storage requirements for narcotic tranquilizer drugs. We respected that, and since then, we’ve been exploring safer, non-narcotic alternatives for safety and animal welfare.

And if safety is the real concern, if protecting the herd and our community truly matters, why wouldn’t someone support non-lethal means of doing so?

It’s certainly interesting that a real estate person or developer pushing for a development just 560 feet from the nearest Buffalo fence chooses not to support safer, non-lethal tools to protect both residents and the herd. This summer during a storm, a massive tree collapsed onto the fence, leaving a gap. We called the herd to the other side of the field and stayed until the county could repair it. That’s who we are, we show up when the Buffalo and this community need us.

2. The Carmen Family & Sleepy Hollow

I have always treated the Carmen family with respect. My efforts were never personal; they were focused solely on preserving Sleepy Hollow and ensuring residents had a voice.
The accusation that I caused a scene at a funeral is a complete lie. First, it was allegedly a public outburst. When confronted with the truth on one of my posts that the funeral home was packed and that couldn’t have happened, the story changed to a “quiet conversation.” Both versions are false. I have witnesses to prove it. And just months later, I had cordial conversations with Joan herself. If I was the monster they describe, why continue friendly communication? (I’ll post this in the comments)

As for the claim that a land trust offer was rejected, completely false. A land trust cannot legally make an offer while a property is under contract. Everyone knew that. The Allegheny Land Trust was willing to preserve the land. Residents were willing to make up the difference. The real estate agent would make her money when the developed lots sold. Apparently she now had their ear and the stories all changed!

3. Development & Road Safety

Everything I have said about the Sleepy Hollow development comes directly from public records and township meetings.
The developer’s representatives refused to put in writing any commitment to widen or improve Sleepy Hollow Road to township or Allegheny County Economic Development Group standards. That’s not speculation. That’s documented.

My family livestreamed meeting after meeting so the public could see for themselves. This was never anti-development, it was pro-responsible development that respects residents, infrastructure, and safety.

4. Taxes, Residency & Personal Attacks

Let me clear this up for good:
My family and I have lived in South Park since we returned to the area.

Our home’s property taxes are paid, publicly recorded, through our family trust.

I currently have no earned income because my wife and I are caring 24/7 for her terminally ill mother. This is family responsibility, not a political flaw.

Any “leaked” income information was either false or illegally accessed. This is exactly the kind of insider behavior I’m running to stop.

This Election Is Bigger Than Me

This election isn’t about one person. It’s about whether South Park continues to be run by insiders, fake accounts, and anonymous smear campaigns, or by the residents who love this place.

I’ve spent more than a decade on a Planning & Zoning Board and a Police Pension Board. The decade is comprised of my time on the P&Z Board and Police Pension Board.

South Park - It’s Time to Choose

Do we surrender to lies, intimidation, and political games?

Or do we stand up, with truth, decency, and courage, and take our township back?
Stop the slime. Start the vote.
Show up. Speak out. Vote for honesty, accountability, and community.

P.S. - Catching Up on the Latest Lies
1. “He lived in someone’s basement.”
False. My wife Diane and her mother owned a successful business. In 1994, they hired Fred and Gary Carmen to build our home. It was placed in Diane’s mother’s name, later into a trust. Our hard work paid for this house. We didn’t inherit it - we built it.

2. “His Illinois home was foreclosed on.”
Wrong. We owned a Victorian home on a lake in Illinois. It was hard to maintain from 500 miles away while caring for Diane’s terminally ill mom. After some time on the market, I negotiated a swap of the house for the mortgage that would allow us to simply walk away, no foreclosure, so we could focus on family.

I’m not sure what other lies or bombs will drop tonight in an attempt to sway the vote, but feel free to call me or talk to my family tomorrow at the polls!

Cleaning Things Up — Then and Now!

It’s easy to get lost in the negativity — but I’ve seen what happens when communities unite around honesty, hard work, and transparency.

I had to take a little break from all the negativity and take a look back — to remember what real, positive public service can accomplish when people come together for the right reasons. I wanted to share this story because it shows exactly what I can do when given the chance to serve.

Years ago, my family and I moved to a small town in Illinois — population just over 10,000. I was the true definition of an “out-of-towner,” a Pennsylvania guy in a small Midwest town! After a year or so of attending meetings, speaking out and sharing ideas for improvemment, the Mayor knocked on my door and asked if I could help “clean things up.” How ironic, right?

So we got to work. My family and I rolled up our sleeves, connected with the community, and built something special — an incredibly impactful Facebook community page that became the heart of local communication, driving business success, bringing neighbors together, solving problems, and shining a light where things needed to be seen.

The results spoke for themselves. The change was visible. The Mayor and local officials thanked us publicly, presenting us with multiple awards — some for our work in the community, and others recognizing my decade-plus of service on public boards where I helped shape policy, promote transparency, and ensure that residents’ voices were always heard. I remember asking the Mayor, “Who else has received this Outstanding Citizens Award?” and he laughed and said, “You’re the first — we ran out of awards, so we made this one up for you!” I never forget that!

Those years of service taught me how to navigate complex issues, balance budgets, draft ordinances, and work with others to get real results — but most importantly, they reminded me what it means to truly serve people, not politics.

Now, I’m asking for that same opportunity here in South Park. It’s time to clean things up again — because our township deserves better. I’ve heard your stories, your frustrations, your experiences with the insider network that’s been running things far too long. I’ve received so many messages of encouragement, and I’m humbled by your kind words and trust.

Let’s come together — not as insiders or outsiders, but as neighbors — and bring accountability, transparency, and integrity back to local government. Together, we can restore pride in how our township is run and give power back to the people who truly make South Park what it is.

Your voice matters. Your vote is your power. Let’s use it to make the change we’ve all been waiting for. 🇺🇸

Based on the November Park News, the insiders have made it clear — they have no morals, no ethics, and will “lie, cheat, and steal” to keep their money and circle of influence in control.

Shame on the Park News for stooping this low. I immediately reached out to the County, and they reassured me their stance was that my family and I carry no blame for any of the reproductive issues that have occurred. The County can be contacted for more information on these matters.

So now we see who really runs that paper. It’s shameful — a complete disgrace — for anyone to participate in such an obvious attempt to mislead voters right before an election. Newspapers have an obligation to seek the truth and present facts honestly. Looks like the person responsible for that duty must’ve taken this month off.

Let’s be clear about what this really is.
Slander is when false statements are spoken to damage someone’s reputation. Libel is when those same false statements are printed or published. When a newspaper knowingly publishes a letter it has been told contains falsehoods — especially after being advised by official sources not to print it — the paper itself may be liable for libel. That’s how serious this is.

Well, I’m shocked — but not surprised.

It seems I’ve broken through those closed-door meetings and pulled the curtain back on the backroom deals. And now the rats are scrambling! You can feel the panic — the question is, how deep does it really go?

The louder the attacks get from developers, real estate insiders, and even a few supervisors, the clearer it becomes — I’ve hit a nerve. Money corrupts. It blurs the line between right and wrong. And what we’re seeing now is a desperate attempt by a small circle of insiders to protect their interests and keep you, the public, out.

They say, “Nothing to see here!” — but that’s exactly what people say when there’s plenty to hide.

They don’t want anyone who will force them to follow the rules, demand answers to the questions the public is asking, or refuse to look the other way when critical project information is missing. They’ll stop at nothing to install their handpicked people — the ones who won’t rock the boat or ask hard questions.

I have never experienced this level of lying, slandering, and win-at-any-cost behavior — driven not by love of community, but by loyalty to the almighty dollar.

Even long-time South Park Republican Committee members have reached out to me in disbelief after seeing the slanderous, fact-twisting, false-allegation ad that was published to attack me — the person simply trying to shine a light on the truth and end the selfish fiefdoms strangling our township. They told me this ad was never approved by the committee at large — only by a tiny group of 4 or 5 insiders working behind the scenes.

Those honest committee members walked me through the ad in shock, pointing out the inaccuracies and outright lies. Their reaction said it all — they have no respect for the people of this township.

We have to stop this. Kindhearted, honest family men and women should be able to step forward and serve their community — not be attacked for standing up for integrity, transparency, and accountability.

Now it’s crystal clear. In my opinion, you have small factions of the Republican Party who feel threatened by someone who can connect with the public — teaming up with the heavily conflicted real estate owners and agents to spread misinformation and lies.

Let’s be honest: these developers, real estate agents, and property owners don’t want anyone asking tough questions or demanding transparency. They don’t want accountability — they want control.

And that’s exactly why I’m running. Because South Park deserves better — honest leadership, open doors, and a government that finally answers to the people.

My family and I have conducted our campaign the same way we live our lives — with honesty, hard work, and heart. We are passionate, dedicated people who care deeply about this community. I only stepped into this race after people from across the political spectrum — Democrats, Republicans, and Independents alike — asked me to run.

For three years, we’ve attended township meetings, live-streamed them so others could stay informed, and spoken up when residents’ voices weren’t being heard. I’ve shared real solutions: holding open town halls, providing online access to all development documents, creating a resident help hotline, rewriting outdated ordinances, and bringing true transparency to government. No more closed-door decisions.

We’ve walked every neighborhood, visited every home, talked with every resident we could find, and left our information at every house! We’ve done it the right way — with integrity, face-to-face with the people interctions, and ideas!

I’m not a politician — and honestly, I’m disgusted by what this process has revealed and by the vile attacks aimed at my family and our reputation. But I trust that the people of South Park will see through these lies and fabrications. Because as hard as they’ve dug, they couldn’t find a single skeleton in my closet. We are clean. So they had to invent them — through lies, distortions, and deceit.

But truth always wins in the end.

If I’m elected, I will lead South Park in a new direction — one built on honesty, integrity, and transparency. It’s long overdue, and together, we will take our township back and restore pride, fairness, and faith in local government.

The Bridge Problem You Can See Coming a Mile Away – Get YOUR Checkbooks out Folks!!

As you know, the Proposed Sleepy Hollow development is proposed on landlocked property that can only be accessed by a narrow township-owned road and bridge — infrastructure that was never designed to support traffic for 108 new homes.

The corrugated metal and concrete bridge at the Stoltz Road end of Sleepy Hollow Road was built back in 1999 — with an expected lifespan of just 25 to 50 years, depending on conditions and usage. Now, when that bridge went in, it was designed for a handful of homes, a small business, and light local traffic. It was never built for heavy equipment or hundreds of daily vehicles.

So ask yourself — what happens when the developer moves in with an army of logging trucks, excavators, and cement mixers using that narrow bridge as their only way in or out? The answer is simple: rapid deterioration and an early death sentence for that bridge.

Once the construction dust settles and 100-plus new homes are built, the township — meaning you, the taxpayers — will be left holding the bill for a full bridge replacement. And not a small one either. With hundreds of residents relying on that single access point, the township would be forced to build a temporary bridge first just to get people in and out — before replacing the old one with a bigger, better more expensive bridge to accommodate the new, vastly increased traffic flow!

Can you imagine that price tag? Millions of dollars. All paid by you, while the developer and real estate agents walk away — pockets full, profits counted, and long gone.

This isn’t speculation. It’s common sense and it’s coming straight down the road — literally. That bridge and narrow road belong to the township, and if this development moves forward without rebuilding that infrastructure first, we’re signing the taxpayers up for a massive bill that should have been paid by the developer.

South Park deserves leadership that sees these things coming and stands up to protect residents before the damage is done — not after the check comes due.

✅ I Support Development — When It’s Done Right

In my decade of service on public boards, I reviewed and approved dozens and dozens of development plans that:
• Strengthened the local economy
• Improved community infrastructure
• Provided growth while preserving green space
• Increased property values

I even helped rewrite landscape and design standards to ensure that new developments blended in, enhanced visual appeal, and respected the character of the community. That’s what responsible growth looks like.

I am pro-development — when it benefits residents, not burdens them.
I am pro-community. Pro-property value. Pro-preservation of South Park.

Let’s restore common sense, integrity, and transparency to our township! Please get out there and vote next week – Tuesday, November 4th!

Standing Up for Truth and Fairness

Something deeply concerning is happening in our township — and the residents of South Park deserve to know the truth. I hate wasting time on this but I’m forced to, I will defend my family and the work we do!

It appears that a landowner/developer / real estate person with a vested financial interest in a controversial major development are now coordinating an effort to try to influence our local election — not the legal way through trackable and reported public donations to a candidate, and not by ideas or facts, but by attempting to create and spread false information about a candidate in hopes of swaying the voters so “their guy” gets installed! And yes, that would be someone who will vote in favor of their project. Perhaps someone whose platform is that our township needs no green space because we live near a county park.

If you recall, I reported in an earlier post about “dirt” they had on me and my family for doing harm to the Buffalo family. How absolutely untrue, hurtful and slanderous. I did the research and found out who was trying to dig up information to find anything to support these lies by filing a Right-to-Know requests with the county.
Unfortunately for them their attempt came up empty. I’m sharing this so you now so that any further spin on these baseless lies is known to be untrue and therefore slanderous.

Let’s call this what it is: an attack on the integrity of our local government and on the right of residents to have their votes — not outside interests — decide the future of our community.

When developers or big-money interests try to manipulate elections for personal gain, they cross a line that goes far beyond politics. It’s not just unethical — it’s dangerous. It erodes public trust, undermines fairness, and leaves every resident wondering whether decisions are being made for the community or for someone’s bottom line.

I won’t mention the names, I’ll let the attached documents fill in the names.

South Park belongs to its people — not to special interests, not to developers, and not to those who think they can buy influence. Our community deserves open, honest leadership that makes decisions based on facts, transparency, and what’s best for our residents — not backroom deals.

No one should ever be silenced by falsehoods or fear. Truth still matters here. Integrity still matters here. And if I have anything to say about it — South Park Township will remain a place where residents, not developers, decide our future.

Now Is the Time to Take Our Township Back

This election is our moment to put an end to insider control once and for all. I am a self-funded candidate, because I will never be owned by developers, political insiders, or special interests.

My loyalty will always be to you — the residents of South Park.
✅ If elected, the residents will have my ear and my full attention — not developers.
✅ Decisions will be made in the open, with integrity, and with your voice leading the way.
✅ We will return control of our township to the people who live here — not those who want to profit from it.

Let’s send a message loud and clear: South Park cannot be bought. Our future cannot be manipulated. And our elections are not for sale.

Our Work and Dedication to the South Park Buffalo

Our work began with one simple goal — to help drive real, positive change that would truly improve the lives of the Buffalo and peacocks at the South Park Preserve. All of it — every hour, every project, every early morning — done strictly on a volunteer basis, out of pure love and dedication.

Early on, we realized that meaningful change would only happen if we worked with the decision-makers — the directors downtown who had the authority to make things happen. So we got to work building those relationships. We formed a strong partnership with the County Parks Department directors, and together, we accomplished many things that directly improved the quality of life for the Buffalo family.

At the same time, we built a thriving social media presence through our page, “Friends of the South Park Buffalo Preserve”, gathering a loyal community of supporters who shared our passion.

But we didn’t rush. Before acting, we did our homework. We reached out to some of the nation’s top bison experts to deepen our understanding and refine our recommendations. We carefully drafted thoughtful, research-backed proposals — and then watched, one by one, as they were implemented. Each step brought a visible improvement to the health, happiness, and welfare of our Buffalo family.

We named the Buffalo, shared their stories, and described their personalities so the community could connect with them. Soon, more and more people began visiting the preserve — drawn by the chance to see these magnificent animals up close, to know them by name, and to feel part of their journey.

Every effort we made was done under the full approval and supervision of county directors and veterinarians. One of our greatest focuses was improving the Buffalo’s diet. In the wild, buffalo graze for nine to eleven hours a day — yet ours rarely grazed, simply because the grass quality was so poor. After extensive research, we proposed soil testing, treatment, and overseeding. Two years later, the results are undeniable — the fields are lush, green, and alive again. The Buffalo can now be seen grazing happily throughout the day, just as nature intended.

With the guidance of the directors and vets, we also began supplementing their diet with fresh fruits and vegetables — all donated and carefully prepared. Many mornings were spent picking up, sorting, and cutting produce by hand, ensuring our Buffalo family had the nutrition they needed and deserved.

If you’ve been to one of the public feedings, you know exactly how it worked. We cut the fruits and veggies right there on our table set up just outside the fence, filled the five-gallon buckets, and handed them to the county employees — who were fully responsible for inspecting, monitoring, and emptying those buckets into the feeding troughs. We always followed the rules and operated under the clear direction of the county officials and the veterinarian.

Any allegations that we ever did anything to harm the Buffalo are, as we were told by the directors downtown, “absurd and baseless.” The Parks Department has assured us that they fully support and stand behind the work we’ve done. Anything else being said is simply not true — it’s slander, and it will be addressed as such.

Our record speaks for itself: every decision, every action, every hour of volunteer work has been about one thing — improving the lives of this incredible buffalo family we all love.
