Chartered in April of 1926 in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Broughton Volunteer Fire Department was founded by a group of 13 men. These are the thirteen exceptional individuals and the offices each initially held include:

Peter Maracini, Assistant Fire Chief

Without the vision and leadership of these exceptional men, Broughton Volunteer Fire Department would not exist. It is these founding members that have laid the foundation in creating what has become one of the most respected fire departments in Allegheny County. The current Staff, Officers and Membership of Broughton Volunteer Fire Department is forever grateful for the foresight and courage of these men. Today, our members represent your friends and neighbors. People just like you who have a desire to give back to the community and enjoy the camaraderie offered by an organization such as a volunteer fire department.
