🎬 A HEARTFELT THANK YOU! 🎬

A huge thank you to everyone who came out last night for our screening of the incredible documentary Ask E. Jean.

And a very special thank you to director Ivy Meeropol for joining us in South Orange, sharing the film with our community, and staying for such a thoughtful and engaging Q&A. It was a wonderful opportunity to hear directly from Ivy about E. Jean Carroll’s extraordinary story and the process of bringing it to the screen.

It is truly our pleasure to bring films, filmmakers, conversations, and experiences like this to South Orange. This is what arts and culture can do: bring us together, introduce us to new stories and perspectives, and give us an opportunity to connect with one another.

And while we’re talking about film, let’s show some love to our local movie theater! ❤️🎥 Thank you to Box Office Cinemas South Orange for hosting us and helping make this special evening possible. Saturday, September 19th, 8 am to 1:30 pm* is the last Container Day of 2026.

On Container Days residents may drop off large bulk household items at the DPW Facility and Recycling Center at 300 Walton Avenue. Exclusions: tires, electronics, hazardous waste, and construction material. Commercial vehicles are not permitted to enter the facility (no U-hauls, Home Depot vehicles, commercial plates, etc.) Proof of residency may be requested.

*Last car allowed in the gate at 1:30 pm.

South Orange Curbside Recycling: Week of September 10 & 11 is FIBER recycling.
Put out your Cardboard, Paper, and Newspaper.
If you have more cardboard than will fit in the bin, the recycling yard is open Tuesdays & Thursdays 7:00am-3:30pm and Saturdays 8:00am-12:00pm (Noon), with a truck specifically for cardboard.
