Saturday June 20th, 8 am to 1:30 pm (Last car allowed in the gate at 1:30 pm).
On Container Days residents may drop off large bulk household items at the DPW Facility and Recycling Center at 300 Walton Avenue. Exclusions: tires, electronics, hazardous waste, and construction material. Commercial vehicles are not permitted to enter the facility (no U-hauls, Home Depot vehicles, commercial plates, etc.) Proof of residency may be requested.
Remaining 2026 Container Days are July 25, August 22, September 19. Check the calendar at www.southorange.org for details and/or updates.

South Orange Curbside Recycling: Week of June 11 & 12 is COMMINGLED recycling.
Put out your Plastic, Glass, and Metal containers.

You can now include plastics numbered 1 through 7 in curbside recycling. Plastics without a number, film plastics (bags), and any kind of polystyrene (Styrofoam) are NOT acceptable curbside.

⚽🌍🎉 SOUTH ORANGE IS READY FOR THE WORLD CUP! 🎉🌍⚽

Join us on Friday, June 19 in Meadowland Park by the Baird Community Center for a FREE community celebration combining the excitement of the FIFA World Cup with the spirit and significance of Juneteenth.

Watch World Cup matches on a jumbo LED screen, enjoy live cultural programming, food trucks, a beer garden by Meadowland Park Conservancy, family activities, a community drum circle with Yahaya Kamate, and a free youth soccer clinic led by the Columbia High School Girls Soccer Team and Head Coach Mateo Green.

We’re excited to have Jason Cirillo, CPT, leading the Saturday Competitive Athlete Conditioning classes and select August bootcamps this summer with School of Reps!

Since becoming a certified personal trainer in 2022, Coach Jason has helped young athletes build strength, confidence, and the mindset needed to compete at their best. As a competitive youth hockey coach and skills instructor, he knows what it takes to help athletes grow both on and off the field, rink, or court.

Known for creating high-energy, educational workouts, Coach Jason believes that a confident athlete is a successful athlete—and he’s passionate about helping every participant unlock their potential.

Join instructor Shipra Mittal for an 8-week journey filled with vibrant music, expressive movement, and a welcoming community. Drawing from her training in classical Kathak and years of dance experience, Shipra creates a fun, supportive environment where dancers of all levels can build confidence, learn choreography, and connect through culture and movement.
