Today's is a letter dated September 16, 1800 from Lady Isabella Seton Cayley to her nephew William Seton's wife, Elizabeth Ann Seton. Though they are not blood related, the letter is evidence of the great care Lady Cayley has for Mother Seton, offering supportive words in the midst of a financial crisis and asking to keep Mother Seton's children--who she refers to as a "Group of Cherubs"--for her "[to] remember me in the most affectionate manner." This is from a recent acquisition of Seton family letters currently being processed in the Archives. We cannot wait to share this collection with you!
