Today, June 1, 2026 was the new Lyon Township Public Library's Ribbon Cutting ceremony!

Thank you to everyone who came out this morning to the library's opening day, including staff, the LTPL Board of Trustees, the Lyon Township Board of Trustees, Lyon Twp DDA, South Lyon Area Chamber of Commerce, Friends of the Lyon Township Public Library, Quinn Evans and Frank Rewold & Sons. We also welcomed Ann Bollin - State Representative, State Representative Kelly Breen, and Jason Morgan for State Representative, who offered words of support and encouragement. Last and certainly not least, thank you to our awesome patrons who have been patient and supportive through the many stages of this project. It was so exciting to see such a large crowd this morning!

A huge thank you to Biggby Coffee New Hudson for providing coffee and donuts for attendees.

We invite everyone to come on over to the library to explore the new building! More opening day pictures are coming soon.

Our hours of operation:
Monday - Thursday: 10:00am to 9:00pm
Friday and Saturday: 10:00am to 5:00pm
Sunday: Closed (Memorial Day - Labor Day)

We invite the community to the new Lyon Township Public Library's Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Monday, June 1st. Guests are encouraged to arrive at 9:15am, with the ceremony beginning at 9:30am. The ceremony will conclude as we officially open the doors at 10:00am for opening day!
