The City of South Lebanon will be administering two Civil Service Exams on October 3, 2026. The Public Services Civil Service Exam will be held at 9:00 a.m. and the Clerical Civil Service Exam will be held at 11:00 a.m. Both exams will take place at the South Lebanon Municipal Building at 10 N. High St., South Lebanon, OH 45065.

The Public Services Exam will be given to establish an eligibility list for the positions of Maintenance Worker, Water Operator, and Sewer Operator; there are no current job openings for those positions.

The Clerical Exam will be given to establish an eligibility list for the positions of Utility Clerk, Court Clerk, and Tax Clerk. This exam is required for all applicants who are interested in our current open Clerk of Court position.

To apply for either Civil Service Exams, please fill out an application which can be picked up at the Municipal Building or found on our website. Completed applications are due by October 2, 2026, and can be turned in to the Municipal Building or emailed to [email protected].

City offices will be closed on Friday, September 11 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in observance of the 25th Anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. A portion of Broadway St., between N High St. and N Section St., will be closed for the 9/11 Ceremony at Veterans Memorial from around 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. to allow for event set-up and clean-up.

The City of South Lebanon has partnered with the Ohio EPA and Rumpke to offer free tire disposal on October 17th at Rogers Park from 9am-12pm. You do not have to be a South Lebanon resident to take advantage of this service and there is no limit on the number of tires you can dispose of, however, please make sure that all rims have been removed from the tires.

PRESS RELEASE

DATE: Monday, August 17, 2026

Columbia Road to be closed for one (1) week.

Lebanon, Ohio – Union Township, Warren County, Ohio – Columbia Road, between Riverwalk Drive and River Cove, will be closed beginning Monday, August 31st, 2026, for one (1) week, weather permitting. The closure is for a culvert replacement and will be completed by the Warren County Highway Department.

The detour for the Columbia Road closure will utilize Kings Mills Road, S.R. 741, S.R. 42, and Mason-Morrow-Millgrove Road.

Your cooperation during this work will be greatly appreciated.
