Slow and steady! The meetinghouse move started today and will continue tomorrow, Tuesday June 9th. Rolling on a pair of steel rails, it is moving about 50 feet back so a proper foundation can be excavated,.

Schedule change! The Meeting House will be moved this coming Monday, June 8th, starting at around noon. It is taking a little more time than expected to get her ready for her short trip.

Ready set . . . The 1816 Old White Meeting House prepares to move 50 feet back on its lot to allow foundation work to begin. The big move will take place this Thursday, June 4th, starting around 10am.

Some of the structural supports in our 1816 timber-framed meeting house need to be replaced before the building is moved (maybe next week!) to allow work on the foundation. The replacements stand ready . . . .
