Applications are open to be considered a recipient for this year’s South High Marathon Dance!

Applications to be considered a recipient for the 50th South High Marathon Dance Inc. being held on March 5th and 6th, 2027 are open and to provide some details on the process, please see below:

1. Applications to be considered an individual recipient can be submitted by completing this Google Form:

2. Applications to be considered an organizational recipient can be submitted by completing this Google Form:

3. Applicants must reside in either Washington, Warren or Saratoga Counties (organizations must serve the residents of at least one of these counties).

4. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, with November 30th, 2026 being the last day to apply for consideration of the 2027 SHMD. Unfortunately, no late applications can be accepted and any received after that date will be rolled over for consideration of the 2028 dance.

5. The SHMD student committee of South Glens Falls High School will meet in mid December to review each applicant’s one pager and will vote to select the 2027 recipients.

6. Successful completion of a background check for all potential recipients (or legal guardians of minor recipients) is required in order to proceed in the voting process.

7. Only the applicant (or a legal guardian if the applicant is a minor) can complete the recipient application.

Once applications are received, you can expect to hear from the Director of SHMD Recipient Services within one week to clarify next steps in the process. ♥️🐾💙

Senior Season is here and every Bulldog needs their perfect portrait! 🎓🐾

Wendy Scharn Photography is now booking Class of 2027 senior portrait sessions in the South Glens Falls and surrounding areas. Two senior packages are available, starting at $175. Sessions include a private online gallery, high-resolution digital images, and easy downloads.

For every senior session booked through this fundraiser, $25 will be donated to support the SHMD 2027 50th Anniversary!

Additional senior packages are also available upon request.

Package 1 – $175
• One outfit
• One location
• One hour
• 25 digital images

Package 2 – $250
• Two outfits
• Two locations
• 1.5 hours
• 50 digital images

A $25 non-refundable retainer is required to reserve your session date and will go toward the total session cost.

Batter up! ⚾

Join us for the first annual Marathon Baseball Day, hosted by the South High Athletic Department. Spend the day enjoying competitive baseball, community spirit, and a cause that makes a difference! ❤💙

Game lineup:
9:00 AM – Modified B vs. Queensbury
11:30 AM – Modified A vs. Broadalbin-Perth
2:00 PM – JV vs. Schuylerville
4:30 PM – Varsity vs. Gloversville

Admission is free, with food and yard games available throughout the day. Donation baskets will be set up around the event. Give what you can to support SHMD 2027!

Location: Tanglewood Elementary, 60 Tanglewood Drive, South Glens Falls, NY

Wear your red and blue and show your SHMD spirit!

All proceeds benefit SHMD 2027. Come out, support the teams, and be part of a great day!
