Parents, Grandparents, guardians, babysitters - PLEASE make sure that children understand all of the safety measures.
I just saw a little boy fly down Maple Street, not looking either direction on any intersection and almost not stop at Lake Street when a pickup truck was coming.

We are all happy that this break in the weather has our young ones outside enjoying fresh air - however we definitely do not want a tragedy to occur.

**Edit to add the 2nd truck has been repaired & back in service thanks to our neighborhood business, Impala's.**

While we are in the middle of this bitter cold weather, please take note of a few things.
The Borough is temporarily down to one plow/salt truck.
In addition, salt doesn't really work well in these conditions.
Tomorrow morning we will acquire a mixture that is better for traction and will be treating hills and alleys ASAP.
We are all in this Winter together, so please treat all of our Borough workers & Council members with kindness. This isn't easy.

And remember, Spring is just 50 days away!
