On this D-Day anniversary, we pause to remember the brave service members who faced unimaginable odds and gave everything for a cause greater than themselves. Their sacrifice helped secure the freedoms we cherish today. May we forever honor their legacy, remember their courage, and keep their memory alive. God bless the fallen and the loved ones they left behind.

On Sunday, the South Farmingdale Fire Department, assisted by the surrounding Fire Department’s extinguished a rapidly moving fire on Barbara Circle. Units arrived within minutes of the initial alarm and found a heavy fire condition in the rear of the home. Assisted by our mutual aide partners, the fire was extinguished in about 30 minutes. As routine, The Fire Marshals office is determining the cause of the fire.

As we continue to enter extreme cold conditions, we remind our neighbors that there are precautions to take while getting through this extremely cold weather event. Please be vigilant in using alternative heating devices. While these can provide great comfort, on occasion, they can also create a hazard. Be mindful of their proper operation according to manufacturers directions.
