Explorers had the opportunity to train in an acquired structure this week. They practiced hose line advance and search. We also covered building construction and fire behavior.

Tonight, Explorers learned how to conduct an oriented primary search with victim removal. The Explorers searched several rooms in near blackout conditions while using full PPE and SCBA.

Last week the post worked on orienting new explorers on the fire gear and SCBA’s. The older explores got to work on blind searches of large rooms. Both groups got to get some more practice in on the different obstacles offered by UHFD.
