4/1/2026 Reminder there is one month left to Open Burning Season in Massachusetts . Remember to obtain a permit from your local fire department , have water and a handtool while burning , and never leave your fire unattended. At the end of the day drown your fire with water and stir with your hand tool . If it’s too hot to touch, it’s too hot to leave ! 🐻

There will be no open burning today in the Town of Egremont. Due to elevated fire risk. The prescribed burn that was scheduled for today at Jug End Rd and Bott Hill has also been canceled.

Tomorrow is the day for some yummy pancakes and sausage, Easter eggs for the kids, and our new Engine/Tanker will be on display that got delivered this past Thursday.

With the icing conditions happening now our pain in the butt Chief called us out on a special detail to install those pain in the butt tire chains on the Rescue and one Engine. We know he is right and better to be safe than sorry especailly when we are in the business of helping others no matter what the conditions are. Hopefully we won’t need to go out but we are prepared . Stay safe call us if you need us we will be there.

Ronnie's Cycle Sales of Benningtonwhat an amazing group of guys to do business with JP, Anita, and Dave you are the best and the other guys that helped make this happen. On Monday during a Mountian Rescue we had a major power steering failure on our older Polaris machine we talked to them on Tuesday morning got the machine up to them they immediately took it in found the problem and it was going to be a pretty extensive and expensive fix. They worked with us and we decided it would be better to just get a new machine we sealed the deal on Thursday morning they went a grabbed from another dealer and Friday at noon time it was in our possession. Thank you again this is our second machine we purchased and I’m sure we will be back in the future.

We would like to thank Chief Schneider and the Egremont Fire Department for the continued support! We appreciate you making the drive out to us, and will see you again soon!
