Ofc Nicholas Thompson has completed his Crisis Intervention Team training. CIT training is a 40-hr long training that helps our department to better recognize and respond to residents suffering from a mental health crisis or a behavioral health-relatated situation.

These training helps our department to respond to all calls with the knowledge to help in many ways.

"Door Kick Challenge" Trend

Juveniles are kicking or banging on random residential doors at night for TikTok videos. This is vandalism, not a harmless prank. If damages property and frightens families.

If you see any suspicious activity or have doorbell footage we ask that you call the Clark County Non-Emergency dispatch number at 937-328-2560.

We would also like to remind all Parents of the Curfew for the Village:

135.29 CURFEW.
No person 17 years of age or less (under 18) shall be or remain in or upon the streets within the village, at night during the period beginning at 12:00 a.m. (midnight) and ending at 6:00 a.m. Friday through Saturday and at 10:00 p.m. and ending at 6:00 a.m. Sunday through Thursday.

Celebrating School Resource Officer Day 💙

Today, the South Charleston Police Department proudly honors the School Resource Officers who serve at Southeastern Local Schools.

Our SROs are more than officers in uniform — they are mentors, listeners, role models, and trusted members of the school family. They greet students in the hallways, attend school events, support administrators and teachers, and take the time to build meaningful relationships that last far beyond the classroom.

Every conversation, every act of guidance, and every moment spent investing in our youth helps strengthen the bond between our department and the community we are honored to serve.

We are incredibly proud of the compassion, professionalism, and heart our officers bring into Southeastern Local Schools each day. Their impact goes well beyond safety — they help shape a positive, supportive environment where students feel secure, valued, and encouraged to succeed.

The water main has been repaired and the Village is not issuing a boil advisory. Please run water lines to clear lines and clean screens on faucets. Thank you for your patience. We understand that this issues are never easy and we would like to thank you for your understanding.

The Village is currently experiencing another water main break. Most people in the Village are having low water pressure. We will update when we have more information. We do apologize for the delay in information.

The water main break has been repaired. There will be no boil advisory for any residents. You may experience some air in the lines as well as cloudy water. This is not a cause for concern, run water to clear the lines.
