Are you a high school student interested in a career in nursing? Don’t miss the Nursing Academy, a 3+ day hands-on experience happening July 21–24 at Camden Clark Medical Center!

✨ What you’ll experience:
• Behind-the-scenes hospital tours
• Hands-on training in vital signs, infection control, and CPR/First Aid
• One-on-one mentoring with healthcare professionals
• Career planning and guidance
• Presentations from colleges and universities with nursing programs

This immersive program gives you a real look at what it’s like to work as a nurse and helps you take the next step toward your future in healthcare.

📌 Who can apply?
• WV high school students in grades 10–12
• Students from Calhoun, Doddridge, Pleasants, Ritchie, Tyler, and Wirt counties are especially encouraged!
• Minimum 3.0 GPA required

🚨 Deadline Approaching - April 17
🎓WVU Medicine Camden Clark is investing in the future of healthcare in the Mid-Ohio Valley by offering up to $17,000 in scholarships for 2026 to students pursuing careers in nursing and other healthcare fields. Funded through the Camden Clark Foundation and Camden Clark Hospital Auxiliary, the scholarships are designed to support students and nurses who are building their futures—and careers—right here in our region.

Available opportunities include:
🎓Leo D. Carsner Memorial Scholarships – up to four awards of $3,000 for students pursuing healthcare degrees
🎓Nursing Alumnae Scholarships – up to two awards of $2,500 for nursing students or RNs continuing their education

Reminder: Senior Nursing Academy Applications 🏥🩺

Applications for the Senior Nursing Academy at WVU Medicine Thomas Hospitals are being accepted.

This program is designed for students who have completed the Junior Nursing Academy (or a similar program) and have a 3.0 GPA or higher. Seniors will gain hands-on nursing experience, connect with healthcare professionals, and explore the path to a nursing career.

July 7–10
July 14–17
July 28–31
