💛 Staff Spotlight: Meet Maria!

Maria Dunlavey is a case manager with the Council on Aging, where she supports older adults to live independently with the right services, supports or caregivers in place.

One of the things she values most about homesharing? The people. 🤗

Maria loves getting to know each individual and helping create thoughtful, well-matched connections. By understanding everyone’s unique needs, she helps ensure each homeshare is built to work for both host and guest.

Outside of her work, Maria is a mom of four, runs an after-school Lego robotics program, and enjoys cooking, kayaking, dancing to live music and watching scary movies with friends. 😎

Her energy, care and commitment to community make a real difference every day.

Kayla Bernier-Wright wears many hats in her work supporting Vermont communities.

As a homeownership specialist with the Windham and Windsor Housing Trust, and a HomeShare Vermont case manager, she helps people find pathways to stable, sustainable housing.

HUD-certified to assist first-time homebuyers, Kayla brings deep expertise to her role. But what excites her most is the added impact of homesharing. 🤝

By incorporating homesharing into her work, Kayla is able to offer a flexible, proven option that helps people remain in their homes while creating meaningful connections.

Kayla enjoys life with her husband, their two young sons and three dogs. Surrounded by family and rooted in her community, she truly embodies the spirit of small-town Vermont. 🏡
