We LOVE our student ambassadors! This week we are highlighting Addie from School City of Mishawaka. When asked, why is school attendance important to you- she said:

"School attendance is important to me because being active and in the classroom is the best way for me to learn. Showing up, listening to what the teachers are saying, and working hands-on with others, not only proves to the teachers that I am hardworking, but also facilitates growth within myself."

Roofsit starts TODAY!

Tomorrow kicks off Roofsit 2026, a full week of community action to help stop child abuse in our region.

Tune in to U93 all week long to hear stories, learn about prevention, and be inspired by what is possible when a community shows up for kids. We encourage you to donate anytime at www.pcasjc.org/roofsit.

Roofsit is one week a year, 52 weeks of impact. Every dollar raised goes to Prevent Child Abuse St. Joseph County to fund prevention education, public awareness, and early intervention.

It shouldn't hurt to be a child. Let's show up this week.

Summertime is a perfect opportunity to create consistent habit- consistent habits that will be helpful when school resumes after the break. Students who keep up a routine and maintain structure during the summer are more prepared to return to school ready to attend regularly.

Happy Friday! Today we are highlighting Dr. Theodore Stevens, Superintendent of School City of Mishawaka. When asked, Why is school attendance important to you, his response was:

"School attendance is important to me because it is one of the simplest ways we can help students succeed. Students that do well in school typically have good attendance."

As the school year comes to an end, we want to say GREAT job to all the students, families, teachers and staff! Regular student attendance is a big contributor to students success.

As summer begins, we encourage students to continue learning and growing. Use this time to relax and reset so you are ready to give it your all when school starts again. We want you to be "Here Today, Ready for Tomorrow!"

Happy Friday! Time to highlight another Attendance Awareness Ambassador- this week we are showcasing Julius Rhodes with Career Academy Network of Public Schools

When asked, do you think school attendance affects students once they become adults, his response was: "being in school helps students build relationships as trusted adults. As adults, it strengthens communication skills, confidence and a sense of belonging."
