Today marks the conclusion of an incredible 35-year career for Battalion Chief Bob Means.

Chief Means dedicated more than 30 years to the Indiana River Rescue School and will be remembered as one of the most impactful contributors not only to the school, but to the entire water rescue community. From mastering and teaching every discipline, to serving 10 years as Program Manager, his visionary leadership helped take our school to new heights.

Bob, words can’t fully capture the impact you’ve had. Thank you for your service, brother. You didn’t just leave it better than you found it—you raised the standard for everyone who follows.

Please pray for Old Fort, North Carolina. This was the main area of focus for the Swiftwater Rescue Team during hurricane Helene. They are resilient but need all the help they can get to be able to recover.
