St. Joseph County, Indiana is very fortunate to have extremely talented leadership in Prosecutor Ken Cotter and Commander Tim Corbett of SJC Metro Homicide. Through that leadership they have developed some of the most talented homicide investigators in America. With an average annual clearance rate of 94% there are very few unsolved homicide cases each year. In 2015 only one murder went unsolved out of 21 cases. Their opinion is that even one unsolved case means that there is a family who will go to sleep tonight wondering who took their loved one away. This Unit was developed to take that one case and bring some level of peace to those families. This Unit is committed to giving a voice to those who can no longer speak.
