Friday, several of our Parole Officers had the privilege of attending the ISP Annual Memorial Ceremony.

Representing our division at an event that honors fallen heroes is something we don’t take lightly. We’re grateful for the opportunity and proud of the team members who stood in attendance.

Parole Officers from PD8 gathered at Westville Correctional Facility today for annual firearm qualifications. Mother Nature was kind to us this year—she shut off the rain and gave us clear, sunny skies to throw some brass. We are proud of our team for showing up strong and staying sharp.

Proud moment for PD8 —one of our own, Kristin Woods, spent time coaching the next generation of leaders in IDOC. Her dedication, professionalism, and willingness to pour into others is exactly what makes our district strong.

The Division of Workforce Engagement wants to thank Gabrielle Adney, Kristin Woods, and Eduardo Tobon for stepping up to the challenge of being the first Peer Leadership program Peer Coaches. This role was created to assist participants in growing their leadership skills during the week-long program as well as facilitating several programs during the week. We thank you for taking time away from your normal positions to give back to these individuals. We appreciate all you gave us!

With 23 years of dedicated service to IDOC, Mr. Hayes has served in multiple roles across South Bend Juvenile, Westville Correctional Facility, and South Bend Parole. He is a Correctional Police Officer, a former Northern SERT member, and a highly respected leader known for his reliability and operational readiness.

We’re excited for the experience and leadership he brings to this new role!
