At last Thursday's board meeting, we swore in three of our seven newly appointed Conservancy Commissioners.

The remaining Commissioners will be sworn in before the Commission’s first meeting as we move toward implementing the Conservancy Master Plan, a key component in securing the grant funding awarded to the Village in January.

Thank you to all of our Commissioners for volunteering their time, expertise, and dedication to South Barrington. We’re excited for the work ahead! 🌿🌳

Twenty-five years later, we honor the innocent lives taken, the first responders and members of our military who showed extraordinary courage and sacrifice, and the families who continue to carry their loss.

Thank you to everyone who came out for this year’s Annual Document Shredding Event! Despite the holiday weekend, we welcomed approximately 168 vehicles, including 102 South Barrington residents. 🚗🙌

Together, we safely shredded 6,800 pounds of unwanted documents!

A huge THANK YOU to our volunteers for helping make the event a success and to our partner Solid Waste Agency of Northern Cook County! ❤️👏

BACOG’s annual private well water testing event is Tuesday, October 6. Available to residents of BACOC communities. The South Barrington Police Department thanks all members of our community who made responsible decisions and did their part to promote safe driving and help keep our roadways safe throughout the holiday weekend.

This is the perfect opportunity to safely get rid of those papers and documents you've been holding onto. We highly encourage residents to take advantage of this FREE community event!

𝗩𝗢𝗟𝗨𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗘𝗥 𝗢𝗣𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗧𝗬! 🙋‍♀️
We're also looking for volunteers to help out that morning. Volunteers must be able to lift 20 lbs. and may use their time toward 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀!

WE HAD SO MUCH FUN LAST YEAR… WE’RE DOING IT AGAIN!

The Village of South Barrington Pumpkin Smash is back! 🍂 🎃

📅 Saturday, November 7th
⏰ 9:30 AM–12:00 PM
📍 South Barrington Conservancy

As you start collecting your pumpkins for the fall season, remember to save them for the Pumpkin Smash! Instead of sending your pumpkins to the landfill, bring them out for a little family-friendly smashing fun! 💥🎃

After the event, the pumpkins will be collected and sent off to be composted, giving them a second life and keeping them out of the waste stream. 🌱♻️

Please join us in welcoming our newest Officer! 👮‍♂️🇺🇸

Officer Masciopinto, a former U.S. Marine, joined our team on Monday and is headed straight to the academy! His Marine Corps background brings valuable discipline, teamwork, leadership and a strong commitment to service, qualities we know will serve him well as he begins his career in law enforcement.

While you won’t see him out in the community just yet, we wanted to give him a big South Barrington welcome as he begins his training and starts this exciting new chapter.

Best of luck Officer Masciopinto! We’re excited to have you as part of our team and look forward to seeing all you accomplish! 🇺🇸👮‍♂️
