Today, FDA issued marketing denial orders (MDOs) to JUUL Labs Inc., meaning all JUUL products currently on the U.S. market must be removed, or FDA may take enforcement action.

The MDOs issued today by FDA apply to the following marketed products:
➡️ JUUL Device
➡️ JUULpods (Virginia To***co 5%)
➡️ JUULpods (Virginia To***co 3%)
➡️ JUULpods (Menthol 5%)
➡️ JUULpods (Menthol 3%)

Any products subject to an MDO may not be offered for sale or distributed in the United States, or FDA may take enforcement action. FDA denied marketing authorization after determining JUUL’s premarket to***co product applications (PMTAs) lacked sufficient evidence regarding the toxicological profile of the products to demonstrate that marketing of the products would be appropriate for the protection of the public health.

FDA cannot and will not enforce against individual consumer possession or use of JUUL products or any other to***co products.

3rd and final session of the Not Even Once Program for our 10th grade students. Presented by Hackensack Meridian Health, funded by South Amboy Municipal Alliance.

The South Amboy Municipal Alliance in partnership with Hackensack Meridian Health has organized the Not Even Once Program for our 10th grade students this month.

This is a 3 session program:

Session 1 - facilitators provide education about opioids/saying no, experiences personal and professional. Practical discussion in small groups about saying NO.

Session 2 - facilitators provide a recap, followed by a person in recovery from substance use relates their story.

Session 3 - facilitators provide a recap, as well as a recovery counselor describing treatment options along with the collaboration between police/fire/EMS/HMH to provide safe options for students while serving their community.

Goal - Empowering our youth to build effective defense mechanisms against pressure to use substances.

Citizen Narcan training has been rescheduled for February 15th, 2022 at 6PM. All participants will be trained on how to recognize and respond to an overdose as well as be supplied with a free Narcan kit once the training is completed.

Masks must be worn.
