🚨 SEHIA 2026 Speaker Spotlight 🚨

Join Sheriff Ron Ball and Chief Deputy Vince Kaaiakamanu of the Madison County Sheriff's Office as they present an inside look at the investigation of the Lori Vallow Daybell and Chad Daybell "Doomsday" murders—a case that captured national attention.

Lori Vallow Daybell and Chad Daybell were convicted of the murders of Lori's two youngest children and Chad's first wife. Motivated by financial greed and apocalyptic "doomsday" religious beliefs, the couple claimed their victims were possessed by dark spirits. Lori is serving life in prison, while Chad was sentenced to death.

Sheriff Ron Ball began his law enforcement career in 1992 with the City of St. Anthony before joining the Rexburg Police Department, where he served for more than three decades. In 2023, he was appointed Sheriff of Madison County, Idaho.

Chief Deputy Vince Kaaiakamanu began his career with the Madison County Sheriff's Office in 2004 and later spent 19 years serving with the Fremont County Sheriff's Office. In 2023, he joined the Madison County Sheriff's Office as Chief Deputy.

Stay tuned as we continue to unveil our outstanding lineup of presenters and case studies 🫆

SEHIA is proud to welcome D/Lt. Dan Drewyor of the Michigan State Police and Lenawee County Prosecuting Attorney Jackie Wyse as featured speakers in our 2026 conference.

Together, they will present the compelling investigation and prosecution of the Dee Warner case — a missing person investigation that evolved into a complex no-body homicide prosecution. With persistence, detectives and prosecutors built a successful case despite the absence of the victim’s remains.

D/Lt. Drewyor brings more than 12 years of experience with the Michigan State Police, including work in organized crime and cold case homicide investigations. Prosecutor Jackie Wyse has extensive experience prosecuting complex felony cases, culminating in the successful prosecution of this case in 2026.

This presentation will provide attendees with valuable insight into collaborative case-building, investigative strategy, and courtroom prosecution in one of the most challenging types of homicide investigations.

Join us for this powerful and educational case study.
