recently celebrated new delivery of one of our new type 1 fire engines. We took a traditional approach in putting this unit in service at our La Selva Beach Fire Station by doing a push in ceremony.

A fire engine push-in ceremony is a historic fire service tradition dating back to the late 1800s, where community members and firefighters manually push a new apparatus into the station bay. It symbolizes the transition of the vehicle into active service, honors the era of horse-drawn equipment that could not easily back up, and fosters community pride.
