8/29/26 9:30 PM -J59 near Highway 132, La Grange

Tuolumne County Fire Department was dispatched Saturday evening to assist neighboring agencies with a vegetation fire involving a large slash pile near J59 and Highway 132 in the La Grange area.

Two Volunteer Water Tender Operators from TCFD responded providing water supply support to crews working to contain and extinguish the fire.

We appreciate the continued cooperation between our neighboring agencies and the personnel who worked throughout the night to bring the incident under control.

Last night just after 11:50PM, Tuolumne County Fire Department responded to the Woods Fire on Highway 108, 1 mile west of O’Brynes Ferry Road. The fire was burning on both sides of the road and at a slow rate of spread and it was contained about 00:15. Photos by: R.Anzar/TCFD

7/20/26 9:45 AM Crews from CAL FIRE Tuolumne-Calaveras Unit, Tuolumne County Fire , Modesto Fire Department and Sierra Center responded to reports of a vegetation fire at Mann Creek near Hwy 108. Forward progress of the fire was stopped due to the collaborative efforts of local agencies responding quickly. A large amount of fires are human caused. We will have engines staged at celebrations from Pinecrest, Columbia, Groveland and Don Pedro throughout Tuolumne County to ensure the community is safe and ready to respond.
