Public Review Open: Local Hazard Mitigation Plan
The Valley of the Moon Water District has released its draft Local Hazard Mitigation Plan—and your input matters.
This plan outlines how the District will reduce risks from natural hazards like wildfires, drought, earthquakes, and severe weather, as well as emerging threats like cyber risks and public health events. It also includes strategies to address climate change and strengthen long-term resilience.
The draft is now available for public review at https://www.vomwd.org/local-hazard-mitigation. Community feedback will help shape the final plan before submission for state and federal approval.
The public comment period is open for 14 days, from Friday, May 1, 2026, through Thursday, May 14, 2026. Comments or questions may be submitted:
