From Mixing to Molding!

Advanced Agriculture Mechanics wrapped up their mini concrete unit by creating personalized stepping stones. The students ran the mixing and troubleshooted with some different cement/water mixture amounts. A fun hands-on project that let students put their skills, and creativity, to work!

Elephant Ears in Ag Class

After learning about how food makes its way from the farm to the fair, Mr. Meyer’s Farm to Fork classes got to put it into action today, bringing a little bit of the Sandwich Fair right into our classroom!

The students put their skills to work making mini elephant ears and, of course, got to enjoy the delicious results as well as share them around the building. Nothing like a little hands-on learning… with a sweet treat at the end!

To honor the legacy of former vice president Mike Builta, the GROWMARK Foundation is partnering with Illinois Association FFA and the Builta family to provide 25 FFA jackets to Illinois students who have yet to purchase one.

Somonauk Leland Sandwich FFA had a great time hosting a small petting zoo today in celebration of Resource Bank’s 125th Anniversary in Somonauk!
