The RNC Platform Committee of 2024, chaired by Senator Marsha Blackburn, determined “We will oppose late-term abortion,” a tacit approval of all other forms of elective human abortion. (RNC 2024 Platform, Chapter 9, Paragraph 4.)
In response, the Executive Committee of the Tennessee State GOP adopted Guiding Principles for Tennessee Republicans which state “We assert the sanctity of human life from conception to natural death, and we affirm that the unborn child has a fundamental right to life, which cannot be infringed.”
Senator Blackburn is seeking office as Tennessee governor. We cannot have it both ways. Which reflects the position of everyday Tennessee Republicans? What say you?
