Hello, Summer — and thank you to our students, faculty, and staff for a productive year! We hope our students, faculty, and staff enjoy a wonderful summer break filled with rest and fun.
Please note our summer office hours start May 26, 2026 — Monday-Thursday 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM — and regular hours return July 27, 2026.

What a fun morning honoring some of our favorite teachers today. We look forward to welcoming our newest little wildcat Luke Pritchett in the fall.

Also, congrats to Ms. Sanders on her marriage. Ms. Walter is getting married this summer and Ms. Burleson will be married in September! Congratulations and we wish you all the best of luck!

Alabama students entering grades K–8 for the 2026–2027 school year are invited to participate in the Governor’s Summer Reading Challenge. As we prepare to celebrate America’s 250th birthday, students are encouraged to explore books that highlight the nation’s history, culture, people, and spirit. A message from Governor Ivey and participation instructions are linked below.

To participate, students will:
Read six books
Track their reading using the provided log
Complete a reflection through writing or drawing, sharing what they learned about the United States.

It was an year in the Library!
Not only were there 13,955 books circulated in the hands of students, but we also got new carpet this month. Pictures to come.
