On Thursday evening, September 24, the Somerset Area High School Guidance Office will host a financial aid night with a speaker from PHEAA to help our seniors, juniors, and their parents navigate the financial aid process. The crew of the USS Somerset stopped by to visit with our students. They answered questions and shared about life in the Navy and aboard the USS Somerset.

The USS Somerset was named in honor of our community and the heroes of Flight 93. Thanks so much for sharing your story and helping our community connect with the ship that bears its name.

Dr. Glenn Kashurba addressed our high school students this week ahead of 9/11 to share his unique story and perspective. Dr. Kashurba assisted with crisis care in support of the families who lost loved ones on Flight 93. Our students heard a recounting of the events of that fateful day and Dr. Kashurba's unique perspective on responding to the call to step up and serve. He also graciously shared copies of his book with our students. What a great experience for our students!
