Today, our detachment gave our past commandant Bruce R Aldrich a service and ceremony fitting for a Marine who gave so much of himself to his Marines, his detachment, and all veterans in the Southcoast area. We are eternally grateful for his establishment of our detachment, his more than 18 years of service as commandant, and for his efforts to promote the Department of Massachusetts Marine Corps League and The Marine Corps League to our local communities. Semper Fidelis.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our past commandant Bruce Aldrich. Marine Aldrich was a charter member of the detachment and served nearly 20 years as the detachment commandant. He left his mark on Marines and the detachment through his leadership and desire to be the best. He will not be forgotten. We encourage all Marines to make yourselves available for his service which will be shared in the near future. Semper Fidelis, Bruce R Aldrich.
