⭐️📚From the 1990s to 2009, the Franklin Inn Used Bookstore's Lois Howe Reading Room was full of rare and antique books about local NJ History!⭐️📖Today, The Lois Howe Room is empty and in urgent need of restoration, but we are working hard to restore the Franklin Inn-Van Liew Homestead so that it is every bit as loveable as the Franklin Inn Used Bookstore📚❤️

🏡SOME historic sites in the D&R Canal Park are preserved, but many more are deteriorating...🌳Tell the D&R Canal Commission that you would like to see these beautiful historic sites PRESERVED and REPURPOSED as much needed park AMENITIES such as restrooms with running water and overnight accommodations and small businesses such as ice cream ships and bike repair shops!🚴🏾‍♂️🚣🏻Let's keep the D&R Canal Park NATURAL and HISTORIC!🥰

⭐️TODAY!⭐️Visit our upstream Friends on the D&R Canal at the Millstone Valley National Scenic Byway Visitors Center in the Historic Bridgetender's House from 1-4pm!⭐️The Franklin Inn is on the same NATIONAL SCENIC BYWAY and our restoration efforts will only make this local NATIONAL TREASURE better!🇺🇸❤️And check out the Canal House's 19th Century-style GARDEN!🥕🧅🫛🥔🌱
