Somerset Parks & Recreation We have 4 major facilities that we operate. Rocky Hollow Recreation Center, SomerSport Park, Citizens Park, and Rocky Hollow Athletic Center.

Opened with SomerSport Park in the early 1980's the Somerset Parks & Recreation Department has now several facilities that offers youth sports to our community and a place for adults to walk out of the weather to promote a healthier life.

U8 Soccer Coach Needed!!

We have one U8 soccer team (Fire) that still needs a coach. The season is scheduled to begin on Thursday (9/17). If you would be interested in coaching this team please contact Chris Perdue at Rocky Hollow Park as soon as possible. 606-679-1860.

New Youth Fitness Program—Open House!

The Parks & Recreation Department is excited to introduce the new Somerset Youth Fitness Program, presented by Grit Strength Fitness.
This program is designed to help kids 8-14 build strength, confidence, coordination, speed, and healthy habits in a fun, positive environment.
Join Grit Strength Fitness for their open house to learn more about the program, meet the trainers, and see what they have planned for Somerset’s youth.

Fall Soccer Sign-ups!!

We are now taking sign-ups for Fall Soccer. These coed leagues are for players 3-12 years old. The registration fee is $27.00 per player, $22.00 per sibling. Players can sign up in person at Rocky Hollow Park or online at www.cityofsomerset.com/parks-and-recreation. The sign period will end on September 1, 2026. Games will begin in late September.
