Picture this.

Summer days in Somerset County. The sound of a marching band echoes through town. Families gather along the streets. Firefighters stand proudly beside neighbors. Flags wave. Stories are shared. Laughter fills the air.

Now picture the moments that brought us here.

The courage of those who fought to secure our nation's freedom 250 years ago. The bravery of the heroes who answered the call on September 11, 2001. The resilience of a community forever changed, yet forever united.

From August 5–8, 2026, Somerset County will come together to commemorate two defining milestones: the 250th Anniversary of the United States of America and the 25th Commemoration of 9/11. Through ceremonies, music, exhibits, tributes, and celebrations, we'll honor the sacrifices that shaped our past while embracing the community that carries us forward.

There will be moments of joy. There will be moments of reflection. Together, we'll celebrate the enduring spirit of a nation and the heroes whose commitment reminds us what it means to stand strong in the face of adversity.

Join us as we remember, celebrate, and look toward the future.

🎉✂️ CRB Services LLC would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended our Ribbon Cutting and Grand Opening Ceremony yesterday! ✂️🎉

It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces, as well as meet new members of our community. Your support and encouragement mean so much as we continue expanding opportunities for the individuals we serve.

We would also like to give a special thank you to WJAC-TV News for taking the time to cover this exciting milestone and help share our mission with the community.

Thank you as well to our honored guests, including Pennsylvania State Senator Patrick Stefano and the Somerset County Representative from Representative Carl Metzgar's Office, for attending and showing support for our new Vocational Training Facility.

Along with a special thanks for the Somerset County Chamber of Commerce for the organization of setting this up!

This facility represents more than just a building, it represents opportunity, growth, independence, and a brighter future for the individuals we support every day.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this event a success. We are excited for what the future holds and look forward to continuing to serve our communities throughout the region. 💚

NEXT WEEK: Join us at our Cambria County Smart Start Open House on Wednesday, June 24, at 6 PM, only at our Richland Campus!

Attendees will learn about admissions, financial aid, academics, and athletics. Plus, you'll get a campus tour and one-on-one time with an admissions counselor.

We'll also share all the details on the Smart Start Promise Program, which offers up to 30 college credits, tuition-free, for eligible Cambria County high school graduates.

A heartfelt thank you to the Somerset County Chamber of Commerce and WJAC-TV for joining us and helping celebrate the ribbon cutting of our new vocational training center!

We are incredibly grateful for the support, encouragement, and community partnerships that made this special day possible. This center represents more than just a building—it is a place where individuals can learn, grow, develop vocational skills, and work toward greater independence and employment opportunities.

🦁 What you’ve all been waiting for… SOMERSET COUNTY ZOO DAY is BACK!🐟️

We’re excited to officially announce the Somerset County Community Day at the Pittsburgh Zoo & Aquarium: *Tuesday, July 14, 2026*

This is a great opportunity for Somerset County residents to enjoy a day at the Zoo at a special discounted rate! Please note: we were provided with *updated guidelines* this year, so be sure to review the details below before you go.

🐧 Event Details:
• Admission: $5.00 per person
• Time: During regular park operating hours (9:30 AM-5:30 PM)
• Tickets: Must be purchased onsite at the gate (no online sales)

🐠 Eligibility & Entry:
• Up to four (4) guests per valid state-issued photo ID showing a Somerset County zip code (ID holder + 3 additional guests)
• Guests must present a valid ID confirming Somerset County residency
• Groups may present multiple IDs if needed

🦓 Additional Notes:
• No refunds or reschedules
• Offer valid for general daytime admission only
