🚨 RUN REPORT — SMOKE INVESTIGATION / LARGE WOODS FIRE 🚒🔥

On September 9, 2026, Haynes K**b Fire Rescue was paged at approximately 4:10 PM for a smoke investigation.

Upon arrival, firefighters discovered that the incident had developed into a large woods fire.

Firefighting operations were extremely challenging due to rough terrain, numerous large brush piles from logging activity, and large amounts of downed trees left from last year's tornado. These conditions made access to the fire difficult and significantly hampered firefighting operations
Due to the size and difficult conditions of the fire, multiple fire departments and agencies were requested for additional manpower and water supply. Crews worked together for several hours to gain access, establish water supply, contain the fire, and prevent further spread.

🚨 RUN REPORT — GRASS/BRUSH FIRE 🚨

On September 8, 2026, Haynes K**b Fire Rescue was dispatched to a reported grass fire at the intersection of Elihu Rush Branch Rd & Rush Branch Rd.

Upon arrival, crews found a small brush fire. Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire before clearing the scene.

🔥 Thankfully, the fire was contained to a small area, with no reported injuries.We appreciate our firefighters for their quick response and dedication to protecting our community.

🚨 RUN REPORT — OFF-ROAD INJURY ACCIDENT 🚨

On September 8, 2026, Haynes K**b Fire Rescue was paged to assist Mt. Victory Fire Department and White Lily Fire Department with an off-road injury accident in the Mt. Victory area.

Our crews responded and worked alongside our mutual-aid partners to assist with the incident and provide support to those involved.

🙏 We appreciate the teamwork and cooperation of Mt. Victory Fire Dept., White Lily Volunteer Fire Department, Somerset-Pulaski County EMS, Pulaski County 911 Center and all other responding agencies who worked together on this call.

Last night, Haynes K**b Fire Department had a great turnout for our Water Supply Training, taught by State Fire Rescue Training, District 14! 👨‍🚒👩‍🚒

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out and put in the time to train, learn, and sharpen their skills. Water supply is a critical part of our response, and being prepared makes a difference when seconds count! 💪🚒💦

We had a great time spending the day with the amazing individuals, staff, and everyone who helped make this event such a success. It was wonderful to see so many smiles, enjoy the carnival-themed activities, and be part of such a fun and inclusive community event! 🎈🍿🎡

🚨 Run Report – Smoke Investigation 🚨

Haynes K**b Volunteer Fire Dept responded on 07-25-26 to a smoke investigation on Burnett Road.

Upon arrival, firefighters found that a kitchen stove had been left on with items on top of the stove. The heat ignited the items, causing fire damage to the stove, range hood, and surrounding cabinets. Crews quickly ensured the fire was extinguished, checked for any extension, and made sure the residence was safe before clearing the scene.

We would like to thank the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office for their assistance on scene, as well as the Pulaski County 911 Center for their prompt dispatch and support.

Fire Safety Reminder: Never leave cooking unattended, and always keep combustible items away from the stovetop. A few moments of inattention can quickly turn into a dangerous fire.

🚨 Run Report – Mutual Aid Traffic Control 🚨

Yesterday evening, Haynes K**b Volunteer Fire Dept was requested to assist White Lily Volunteer Fire Department with traffic control on Highway 192 after a tractor-trailer hauling an oversized load was unable to safely negotiate the curves along the roadway.

Haynes K**b Fire Rescue, White Lily Fire Department, and the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office worked together to safely divert traffic for several hours until the oversized load could be moved and the roadway was reopened.
We would also like to thank Pulaski County 911 Center for their outstanding communications and coordination throughout the incident.

A special thank you goes out to all of the agencies involved. We are proud to have such a strong, professional working relationship with one another. By working together, we are able to provide the safest and most efficient service possible for the citizens and visitors of Pulaski County.

As always, thank you to the public for your patience and understanding while crews worked to safely reopen the roadway.

💦 Community PR Event – Cumberland Baptist Church VBS 💦

Last night, members of Haynes K**b Volunteer Fire Dept and Mt. Victory Fire Dept. had the opportunity to visit Cumberland Baptist Church Vacation Bible School for a fun evening with the kids!

Our firefighters cooled everyone off by spraying water, and the smiles, laughter, and excitement made for an unforgettable evening. We always enjoy opportunities like these to connect with our community, build positive relationships with our youth, and share a little fun while promoting fire safety.

A big thank you to Cumberland Baptist Church for inviting us to be part of your Vacation Bible School. We appreciate your hospitality and hope everyone had as much fun as we did!
We look forward to seeing everyone again soon!

Haynes K**b Fire Department Run Report

At 11:04 PM last night, Haynes K**b Fire Department was dispatched to assist Somerset-Pulaski County EMS with a medical emergency off Hwy 1643.

Our crews responded promptly and remained on scene to provide assistance until the incident was safely resolved.

We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to Somerset-Pulaski County EMS for their quick response and the outstanding working relationship we continue to share. We also want to thank the Pulaski County 911 Center for their professionalism and excellent dispatching, helping ensure our responders and community receive the best possible service.
