C shift has been busy!

Pioneer Firefighters were proud to provide mutual aid assistance today on a vegetation fire in El Dorado County. Our crew helped support suppression efforts to quickly contain the fire to 1 acre.

Wildfire season is here, and cooperation between agencies remains critical to keeping our communities safe.

As temperatures rise and vegetation continues to dry, we encourage residents to remain vigilant, maintain defensible space around their homes, and avoid activities that could spark a wildfire.

C Shift crews worked alongside our partnering agencies to stop forward progress and contain another vegetation fire this afternoon. Quick action, coordinated response, and strong mutual aid efforts helped keep this fire small and prevented further spread.
As temperatures rise and vegetation continues to dry out, wildfire danger remains high. Residents are encouraged to create and maintain defensible space around their homes and use extra caution with equipment that can create sparks.

Remember: One small spark can start a wildfire.
Stay vigilant and help keep our communities safe.

This afternoon, Pioneer firefighters worked a vegetation fire burning near the 8000 block of Boondock Trail near Fairplay. Supporting resources from CAL FIRE Amador-El Dorado Unit El Dorado County Fire Protection District and Amador Fire assisted by ground and air support to stop the forward progress. The fire is contained at 2 acres and the cause is under investigation.
We appreciate the coordinated response from all assisting agencies working to protect our communities.

Last week our crews participated in Rope Rescue Operations training at Station 38 and along the Middle Fork of the Cosumnes River. The hands-on training focused on strengthening technical rescue skills, teamwork, and operational readiness in challenging environments.
A huge shout out to John Brenner and Ryan Carlson for organizing and conducting an outstanding training experience. We also appreciate the participation and partnership from members of CAL FIRE Amador-El Dorado Unit and Shingle Springs Band of Miwok Indians Tribal Fire. Working and training together makes our communities safer.

This afternoon, your Pioneer firefighters responded to a vehicle rollover on Slug Gulch Road. Thankfully, only
minor injuries reported.
