An important reminder to our residents as mowing begins after a long period of rain ‼️ Please refrain from blowing grass into the streets while mowing your yard. This poses a safety hazard for motorists and pedestrians, and can prevent our drainage system from working properly. Thank you!

PSA πŸ“’ Spring has arrived, and that means it's mowing season. As you begin caring for your yard more regularly, please do not blow grass into the streets. This poses a safety hazard and can prevent drainage systems from working properly.

Thank you for your help in keeping our city streets safe!

This week, we join communities across America in honoring the men and women who wear the badge and serve with courage, compassion and sacrifice each day.

National Police Week is a time to remember the officers who gave their lives in the line of duty, while also expressing our gratitude for those who continue answering the call to protect and serve our community.

The City of Somerset is proud to stand behind the dedicated officers of the Somerset Police Department and the families who support them. Thank you for your service, professionalism and unwavering commitment to keeping Somerset safe. πŸ’™πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ’™ National Police Week πŸ’™πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

Each May, our nation comes together to honor the courage, sacrifice, and dedication of law enforcement officers across the country.

Established by presidential proclamation by John F. Kennedy in 1962, National Police Week includes Peace Officers Memorial Day on May 15th and serves as a time to remember the brave officers who gave their lives in the line of duty, while also recognizing those who continue to serve and protect our communities each day.

For the men and women of the Somerset Police Department, this week is both a time of solemn remembrance and deep appreciation. Behind every badge is a story of service, sacrifice, commitment, and family.

We proudly honor the fallen, support the families they left behind, and thank all law enforcement officers who continue answering the call to serve with integrity, courage, and professionalism.
