Yesterday, we heard the unfortunate news of Somerset Resident, former Commandant of the Marine Corps League, former Somerset Veteran Advisory Board Member Bruce Aldrich had passed. Bruce led so many projects throughout Somerset, Fall River, and the greater Bristol County it is too hard to list them all. He was known by all, and his passing will be felt by so many. Our hearts are with his family & friends.

Due to weather, Somerset’s Memorial Day Parade is canceled. However, we will be hosting at ceremony at the VFW Post 8500 at 11am. Please come out to honor our fallen service members along with celebrating our Parade Marshall Leo Desrosiers 100th birthday!!!

Our office was honored to be a part of Veterans Association of Bristol County ceremony this morning as we kick off Memorial Day weekend. As a reminder to all, the Town of Somerset’s Memorial Day Parade starts at 10am. We will have a ceremony at the VFW Post 8500 afterwards followed by a luncheon.
