Last night Parker’s Mill Fire was dispatched to a structure fire on Pogue st. Units got a quick knock down on a bedroom fire. Thank you Somerset Fire, Burnside Fire, Tateville Fire for the response of apparatus’s and all the man power. And thank you Pulaski County Rescue Squad for bringing a cascade to fill air bottles. It takes a team to help out this county and last night was proof. Great team work done by all.

Today we supplied water day for all the 2nd and 3rd graders at Oak Hill Elementary School. Students enjoyed the water day and learned about our aerial truck and fire equipment. Thank you Oak Hill Elementary School for allowing us to help out today!!!

We would like to Congratulate Jon Nelson on his promotion to Lieutenant.

Jon has shown great leadership and always willing to lend a hand whenever or wherever he needs to. Jon is also a Firefighter for Tateville Fire Department. Jon will make a great addition to the Command Staff. Thank you for your dedication to Parker’s Mill Fire Department and the citizens of Pulaski County.

Parker’s Mill Fire Department was dispatched to a reported (1) vehicle MVC around the 1000 block of Bourbon Rd. Upon arrival of Truck 8, PMFD OIC advised no injuries but roadway would be closed. Units redirected traffic until roadway was cleaned from debris and vehicle was moved. Units Responded: Truck 8.

Parker’s Mill Fire Department had regular training tonight and went over PPE with SCBA’s. Units focused on controlling their breathing while in exercise. Units took the opportunity to play a game of Kick-Ball while the weather was nice. After, took a stroll around the walking track at Fire Brook Park. Thanks Pulaski County Rescue for coming and refilling our SCBA Bottles.

Parker’s Mill Fire Department would like to extent our gratitude to everyone that showed up last night and supported our department. It’s truly amazing on the amount of support we had last night. We had a packed house and enjoyed everything.
