Solon Middle School students explored practical ways to care for themselves and support others during the school’s first-ever Wellness Fair, held today during lunch periods.
Four interactive stations focused on wellness, connection and healthy coping strategies. Students tried breathing exercises and sensory tools, expressed themselves through calming art activities and shared encouraging messages with their peers.
One of the most popular activities invited students to write down a worry or negative thought and then shred the paper as a symbolic way of letting it go. Students also enjoyed spending time with Henry, the Solon Police Department therapy dog.
Thank you to the Solon Middle School counseling team and building administrators for creating a fun, welcoming event where students could pause, recharge and discover tools to support their well-being.
