We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Past Chief Christian "Chris" Gilchrist. Chris served more than 45 years with the Webster, Wolcott, and Sodus Center Fire Departments. Chris was currently serving as President and Safety Officer in Sodus Center. He was integral in his time as chief in the early 2000's updating our aging fleet of vehicles and equipment and bringing us into the 21st Century. More importantly, he was a mentor, neighbor, and friend and will be greatly missed. We will provide more information about arrangements once they are available.

It is with great sadness we announce the loss of past chief Robert (Bob) McAdoo. Bob was an integral part of our organization for an incredible 54 years. Bob wore many hats from chief, to commissioner, to head chef. Beyond the fire department, he was a beloved member of a community where every kid growing up had an invitation to play from sunrise to sunset in his yard, so long as they didn't fight or swear. Bob's legacy lives on in his family who continue to serve the community. Rest easy Bob, we will take it from here.

They come in all sizes and shapes
They stand the tallest in height
But always there to help in the fight
He would say I am just a man
But always lent that helping hand
Mark you were more then just that
So to you sir I tip my hat
And thank you for all you have done
For all our hearts you have won
Rest in peace my friend
For this is not the end
For many tears we will cry
Til we meet again on the other side
