All the story time fun from the last two weeks...incoming!
Last week, we read two books ahead of Mother's Day that reminded us how mother figures in our lives give love so big...when we are little and grown! The crew followed up with making a sweet gift for them to take home--flowers made with their special unique fingerprints!❤️💐
I Would Love You Still by Adrea Theodore -- A trip to the zoo with mom sparks joy and excitement as her littles see so many different animals. At each exhibit mom reminds them, "If you sang like a screech owl in the night, I would be there to hug you tight. If you crawled like a gecko up the wall, I would still love you best of all."
When I Grow Up by Julie Chen -- A young boy goes on a quest of curiosities...as many kiddos do...and ponders what he may be when he grows up. With his mom right beside him, her answer is that he can be anything he wants and she will always be there to support!

This week, we dove into the treasure trove of mermaid life and learned about pearls! The crew got to inspect different sizes of pearls and made their own fun clam shells with a pearl sat inside!
Pearl by Molly Idle -- Pearl is a young mermaid, eager to grow and do more around the sea with all the grown-up mermaids. When her mom entrusts her with a single grain of sand, Pearl learns that patience and dedication can transform something 'plain' into something wonderful! ✨🧜♀️
How to Meet a Mermaid by Sue Fliess -- A group of littles embark on a beachcombing journey to meet mer-people🧜♀️🧜 in the coves near their house. Working together, they create a beautiful crown out of driftwood, seaweed, sea glass, and shells to present to the sparkly sea dwellers!
