This dog is currently at the busy bean in soap lake. I believe it is a male dog.

It is not very aware of vehicles and is going in and out of traffic. It's currently crossing 6th Avenue, Southeast, going towards the storage complex

If this is your dog , please come and get it before it gets hit!

I rode in an English saddle for the first time in 3 (maybe 4) years today.

Here are some of the comments I’ve ALREADY received after posting ONE PHOTO:

- Toes are out, CLEARLY she’s never been an eq rider

- Wow, you REALLY need custom boots, those are too short for you

- Isn’t she too heavy for that horse? She needs a draft

- How can anyone call this English? Reins are too long

And honestly, there were way more BACKHANDED comments in that realm!

Here’s the thing….Im brave and have thick skin, so even after that, I’ll still be posting the video.
BUT, imagine being someone new to the horse world and being SO berated for the most STUPID things???

I’m committed to showing my journey back into the show pen, and that means showing the NOT POLISHED “comeback”, where I bought a cheap pair of boots, my breeches were too tight, my head stall was western, and my pony is a 15h ranch horse!

Normalize doing things half-assed sometimes if it MEANS YOU DO IT!!! The need to be perfect is what squashes most people’s want to get back into something they once loved or the fire to try something new!

So…IDGAF that my toes are out. At least I’m using my damn leg on my horse.

My boots ARE too short. Who TF cares.

I’m wearing BOTH western & English tack at the same time. Sue me.

But im DOING IT!!!

This beautiful girl is wandering in rural soap lake , near trout lodge on road B.5 looking very hot and lost.

This dog is not from this neighborhood i am aware because i've never seen her before. Headed home for lunch and she is seeming very scared and lost.

She is on road B.5, very close to road 16 Northeast just before trout lodge.

I\nStopped to take this photo and give her water. She would not let me get anywhere near her. I have left some water for her.

I have not yet set the date for our 7th annual garage sale fundraiser...

This year has been such a blur & so consistently overwhelming....

This event is typically what helps us pay down Summer's debt so that we can go into winter with a little bit of breathing room. This will be the 7th year. Truly hoping we can have a successful event. My hope is to pay down or off the veterinary account & stock up on some food & supplies!

🐾 KITTEN LITTER NEEDS PLACEMENT 🐾

Soap Lake, Washington

EDIT- we have offer of rescue for this entire group of kittens. I am trying to coordinate pick up and transport of these babies. So that we can meet transport in Ellensburg at 7:30 AM on Saturday.

Yesterday I received a call from a local Soap Lake community member regarding a litter of kittens that was found in their orchard.

This is a senior community member that does all that she can For the community cats within our communities. She is currently inundated with animals and seeking safe placement for this litter of kittens.

Kittens appear to be approximately between the ages of 4 and 5 weeks. Based on this photo I would say, there are 4 to 5 kittens.

We are unable to directly assist with placing any additional animals. I have let the community member know that I would create a post to see if we can network safe placement for this precious family.

⛽️ FUEL DONATIONS - CRITICALLY NEEDED ⛽️

Fuel donations are critically needed for the rescue.

WE HAVE MULTIPLE CLEARANCE APPOINTMENTS SCHEDULED THIS WEEK FOR DOGS THAT ARE PENDING ADOPTION. I AM CURRENTLY SITTING WITH JUST UNDER A QUARTER OF A TANK OF GAS.

We are currently going through a minimum of two tanks of gasoline per week driving the durango. Some weeks we have go through 3 tanks of gas depending on our veterinary appointment schedule.

Gasoline is also used at the rescue to power different equipment. All of our water usage is powered with generators!

If anyone is able to assist with a donation towards the cost of gasoline , we would be blessed to receive it.

NO DONATION IS TOO SMALL. EVERY SINGLE DONATION IS A BLESSING!!

I WOULD BE HAPPY TO MEET ANYONE AT A SOAP LAKE GAS STATION.

WE HAVE A DONATION CONTAINER AT THE GAS AND GO FOR GAS DONATIONS. ALTHOUGH IT IS USUALLY ON THE COUNTER , SOMETIMES IT IS BEHIND THE COUNTER AS IT IS PUT AWAY EVERY NIGHT WHEN THEY CLOSE.
