I picked up a sweet little Arabian mare at auction. She is extremely thin. Owner thought she was very old, but her teeth tell me she's only about 14. She is very well handled and I was told that she was ridden by a young girl who was a beginner.
She is THIN. Really thin. I looked at her teeth and her molars need a good float (she let me do this in the auction pen without a halter). I watched her eat last night though and she really does pretty well. Good range of motion and no quidding. I'm thinking that she was just out in pasture and needed more that she could get from there. The owner's other horse was a bit thin as well.
She also has a small lump on her ear. Doesn't seem to bother her.
It will be a while before she is ready to be ridden, but she can spend the summer getting better and be ready for light rides in the nice fall weather.
Located near Kanab. Adoption fee is just what I paid for her for now. I do check on potential homes, she's already dodged a trip to Mexico once, let's not have it happen again. I also offer support and will take horses back if they don't work out.

It has certainly been a while since I posted here! I picked up an 8year old APHA stallion a while back. He was a cryptorchid, but he has now been gelded! I don't think he is broke to ride, but he's well handled and very sweet.
I call him Popeye. :)

I have an older Peruvian Paso available . He's pretty thin, but gaining weight. Needs an experienced rider on the trails as he was taught to gait very fast the whole time he's out. He's hard to slow down. Does fine in an arena so I think he could figure out how to walk on a trail with a little time. He is located near Kanab, Utah.

I have a large bunny in need of a home. He seems pretty friendly. He comes with food and I will donate a cage if needed. His owner is sick and can no longer care for him.

This great Border Collie/Aussie Sheppherd wandered over to the ranch last Thursday. No one has claimed him. He needs a good home! Does great with livestock (even chickens) and has nice manners. Only about 1 or 1 1/2 years old. I really like him or I would have taken him to the shelter already. Rather find him a good home. I have 4 dogs in my house and my old dog, Nina doesn't want a new dog. He needs a home before it gets really cold!

Cliffrose Ranch and Rescue is hosting another casino day next Sunday at 10am at Hon-dah Casino. For $10 you get a certificate from the casino for $20...you just made $10, and the ranch just made $10! Pretty good deal! The casino asks that you stay for 4 hours (and hopefully spend more money...). We will most likely be drinking champagne and eating brunch. There's a herd of unhandled Arabs (incl. 3 adult stallions) ranging in age from 4 months to 15 years, near Baseline and 44th in Phoenix.Not halter broke, and all live together in one pen,it’s presumed mares are pregnant.The owner’s husband is ill and they receive inconsistent care.He says they are in pretty good shape except they are in need of hoof care (and probably dental care).Owner can no longer care for them.
