If you’re ready to get your fall garden growing, you won’t want to miss this one! We’ll have an incredible selection of cool-season vegetables and herbs, including Arugula; bok choy varieties like Chinese Yellow Heart, Milk, Purple Lady, Shanghai Green, and Shiikibu; broccoli varieties Belstar, Emerald Crown, Green Magic, Gypsy, Monty, and Sun King; Chinese cabbage varieties Michihili and Minuet; cabbage Earl Jersey Wakefield; cauliflower varieties Amazing, Graffiti, Green Macarate, Purple Moon, Purple of Sicily, and Snowball Y; cilantro; collards Georgia Southern; kale varieties Blue Dwarf, Lacinato, Premier, Siberian, and Smooth; kohlrabi White Vienna; lettuce varieties Bibb, Black-Seeded Simpson, Buttercrunch, New Red Fire, Romaine, Salad Bowl, and Speckled Bibb; mustard varieties Green and Japanese Red Giant; and Swiss chard varieties Rainbow, Scarlet Charlotte, and Vulcan.

Fall Is For Planting!

The Community Garden@Snellville is kicking off its first fall plant sale of the season this Friday! It’s the perfect time to pick up some cool-season veggies and get a fresh crop growing in your garden.

And at just $3 for a 4-pack (cash only), it’s an easy—and affordable—way to get planting!

The Community Garden is located at the corner of Marigold Road and Sawyer Parkway just inside Briscoe Park (adjacent to the Snellville Recycling Center).

Available plants include arugula; bok choy varieties like Chinese Yellow Heart, Milk, Purple Lady, Shanghai Green, and Shikibu; broccoli varieties Green Magic and Sun King; Chinese cabbage Michihili and Minuet; cabbage Earl Jersey Wakefield; cilantro; collards Georgia Southern; kale varieties Blue Dwarf, Lacinato, Premier, Siberian, and Smooth; lettuce varieties Bibb, Black-Seeded Simpson, Buttercrunch, Drunken Woman, New Red Fire, Salad Bowl, Speckled Bibb, and Romaine; mustard varieties Green and Japanese Red Giant; and Swiss chard varieties Rainbow, Scarlet Charlotte, and Vulcan.

Our first 2026 fall plant sale featuring 4-packs of cool-season vegetables will be held on Friday, September 11, at the Community Garden@Snellville from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM. Each 4-pack is just $3 (cash only).

Dolly Parton spent her life believing in the power of children, books and imagination. Through her generosity, millions of children have discovered the joy of opening a book and finding a whole new world waiting inside.

In honor of Dolly and the beautiful legacy she leaves behind, the Snellville Farmers Market is beginning a new community tradition — Dolly's Bookshelf.

Our goal is simple: to put more books into the hands of children in our community and help grow a lifelong love of reading.

We're inviting our market family to help us fill the shelves by donating new or gently used children's books—from board and picture books to early readers and chapter books for children from infancy through the elementary years.

Throughout the market season, children and families will be invited to choose a book to take home, free of charge.

Because a book can be so much more than a book. It can be a bedtime story shared with someone you love, a new adventure waiting to be discovered, or the beginning of a lifelong love of reading.

We hope you'll help us fill Dolly's Bookshelf and make this a lasting tradition at the Snellville Farmers Market.
