The Smyrna Fire Department was proud to be well represented at the Joint Leadership Conference of the Southeastern Association of Fire Chiefs (SEAFC) and the Georgia Association of Fire Chiefs (GAFC).

Several members of our department earned officer designations during the conference, demonstrating their continued commitment to professional development and excellence in the fire service. We are also proud of Fire Chief Marcos, who presented to attendees in the main ballroom, sharing his knowledge and experience with fire service leaders from across the region.

In addition, Chief Marcos was sworn in as the 3rd Vice President of the Georgia Association of Fire Chiefs—a tremendous honor that reflects his leadership and dedication to advancing the fire service throughout Georgia.

Please join us in congratulating all of our members on these outstanding achievements!

🚑 EMS Week Celebration! 🚒

Today, we’re celebrating the Smyrna Fire Department firefighters who provide exceptional EMS care to our citizens and visitors every day. Did you know every single SFD apparatus is equipped with Advanced Life Support (ALS) capabilities? No matter the emergency, our crews are always ready to respond when you need us most.

To show our appreciation, we spent the last three days celebrating our crews with station cookouts during lunch! A huge thank you to the Smyrna Public Safety Foundation for providing the food, and to our EMS Director, Tim George, for keeping the grill going all week long. 👨‍🚒🔥📸

At the Smyrna Fire Department, one of our core vision tenets is building enduring partnerships. 🤝

Every incident we respond to is a true team effort. It requires a deep understanding of each other's technical skills and specialized abilities. We are incredibly fortunate to partner with Barrow Wrecker Service (Smyrna Business) on these calls. This collaboration ensures we provide the highest level of service to our citizens and maintains the safety of our residents in their time of need. 🚒💪
