Almaville Volunteer Fire Rescue Department

Almaville Volunteer Fire Rescue Department We are a 100% volunteer fire/rescue department that needs your support! Almaville Volunteer Fire Rescue is made up of approximately 55 dedicated volunteers.

We operate three fire stations, one rescue engine, two engines, one tanker, one brush truck, and a support vehicle. To even better serve our community and decrease response times, we are now staffing fire station 2 with at least two on-duty personnel 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Currently hold an Insurance Services Office Class 5/10. This means everyone within our district within 5 road miles of our three fire stations has an ISO Public Protection Classification of 5.

It’s been a busy several days for Your Almaville Volunteers

Over the weekend, all three of our stations were staffed and mobilized as the winter storm moved through our area. Our crews responded to over 35 different emergency calls, including numerous downed trees & powerlines that blocked roadways, motor vehicle accidents - some with entrapment, and structure fires.

With 15 of our volunteers in action, we worked quickly to clear hazards and keep our community safe. We’re proud of the teamwork and dedication shown by everyone involved—and grateful for those who stepped in to backfill and support operations behind the scenes.

Additionally, we’d like to thank our partner agencies for their assistance and coordination throughout the event - Rutherford County EMA, Rutherford County Fire Rescue, and Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office. Also, a big thank you to the citizens who stopped to lend a hand, bringing chainsaws or equipment to help tackle some of the larger trees. Your support makes a real difference.

Thank you for your continued support.

🚒🔥 Exciting news from Almaville! This past weekend, our dedicated volunteer firefighters participated in a two-day Firefighter Survival class taught by the State Fire Academy. It was aimed at enhancing our team's skills and preparedness for worst-case scenarios.

Through hands-on training and expert instruction, our firefighters learned crucial techniques to ensure their safety and effectiveness in the line of duty. We're committed to equipping our team with the knowledge and tools necessary to protect our community.

A big thank you to Chief Ronnie Beasley and LaVergne Fire Dept for allowing us to use their new training facility. Also, thank you Capt. David Sloan and Christian Steele for excellent instruction and making this training possible! Together, we’re stronger and ready to face any challenge that comes our way. 💪❤️
